Canadian Public Transit Discussion Board Conditions of Use - Effective January 1, 2009

The Canadian Public Transit Discussion Board is also referred to as "CPTDB", "Website", and/or "discussion board" in the below text. If you do not agree, please refrain from visiting or participating in discusisons.

By using the Canadian Public Transit Discussion Board, you agree to the following Conditions of use:

GENERAL POSTING

  • Members are expected to post with respect and intelligence.
  • Posts containing any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, and/or invasive of a person's privacy may be removed. However, we also reserve the right to remove any post for any reason.
  • Posts should remain generally on topic. If the thread is deviating away from the original subject, start a new topic. Administrators may split the topic into two in some cases.
  • Try to correct any errors in a post by using the button. Do not make a second post - contact an Administrator to help you correct it.
  • Resize images to a reasonable size (under 1280x1280) before posting them in a thread.
  • If you encounter a post which you believe violates these guidelines, please use the button and action will be taken accordingly.
  • Any posts with high conflict or complaints are subject to deletion by the administration.

SIGNATURE SIZES

  • User signature images should not be excessively large.
  • Please link to another location if you have a lot of information to share.
  • A general guideline to follow is 600 pixels in width and 200 pixels in height including text and photos.

USER ACCOUNTS

  • Users should only have one registered account on the board.
  • We periodically track accounts by IP address - multiple accounts with one IP address may be deactivated.
  • Permanently banned members attempting to register a new account will be denied and have an IP ban placed site-wide.

VIOLATION CONSEQUENCES

  • Any user account found violating these conditions of use will be immediately deactivated for seven days. An email will be sent to the address on file explaining the rationale for the ban.
  • Repeat offenses will result in a permanent ban from the discussion board.
  • Appeals may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

ADMINISTRATIVE INFORMATION

  • Administrators of the CPTDB have the final say in any decision pertaining to these conditions of use.
  • We reserve the right to ban any user account for any reason at any time. Our best efforts will be put forward to notify the user through the email address on file on the reasoning for the ban.

The Canadian Public Transit Discussion Board and/or its administrators do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. The messages express the views of the author of the message, and not necessarily the views of this discussion board. The CPTDB and/or its administrators are not responsible for any illegal activity that may come about, as a result of anything viewed on this board.

We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame. All information on this website is subjected to be modified without any public notice. Use of the Website is entirely at your own risk.
