One of my junior high math textbooks had a Calgary Transit D40LF in it.

She was originally Fort William #16 when new in 1966. And yes that is a 35 foot Fishbowl model TDH-4519.

A. Wong reports that Lethbridge #107 now operates as a ski shuttle at Standford Hotel in the town of Fernie, BC

Here are a couple of pictures of #107 waiting to be sold in May of 2006.

Peter, are you sure it is ex-Fort William? The destination sign is clearly ex-Hamilton Street Railway.

Sorry for taking three months to ask the question. I had not been following this thread recently.

I am fairly sure it is. Here's a post in the Thunder Bay thread where I originally posted about it: http://www.cptdb.ca/index.php?s=&showt...st&p=412772 . She is Serial C256 from what I recall. Let me know what you find out. Maybe the serial number got noted wrong? Also, didn't the HSR have blue interiors on their TDH-4519's? Take a look at the interior color in the photos above mine in this thread.

Taken from http://www.angelfire...rs/TDH4519.html

C255-C256 are 15-16 from Fort William Transit.

102 is also there in Fernie, it must be a spare for 107. It has the same Ski Shuttle decals as 107 from what I could tell by passing by but it was sitting covered in snow.

There was a company name on the side like Rocky Mountain Charters or something but I'll see if I can make it out in any of my pictures I got of 107 from the ski hill.

Smokey Mountain Charters & Tours is the operator of this bus, and probably 102.

These are my first bus photos of 2011! Nice that it's a Fishbowl!

Lethbridge Transit is introducing electronic fare cards in December, and similar to Calgary are doing a name the farecard contest. Details on the new farecards here

Does anyone have a close up picture of a GM emblem from a LA Transit Silverside? The ones that were repainted.

Thanks

On my trip to Fernie, BC today I happened to spot Ex-Lethbridge Transit #106 on the side of the highway with an MCI MC-9 of some sort. I spotted this on the north side of the highway about 13 km east of Fernie still in LA Transit livery. If I have a chance to, I'll try and post a pic if I can stop on the way by...

Here is the photo of that I was able to take from the side of the highway. I didn't see 102 or 107 that was mentioned previously in this thread, however I did see a couple of school buses roaming around with ski racks on them operating for a different company, which I believe was Rocky Mountain ski charters or something like that. It definitely wasn't Smokey Mountain Charters & Tours that 102 and 107 were operating for. I totally forgot to take a look for 102 and 107 out there. However 106 appears to be for sale as there was a pole attached through the front bumper with a for sale sign attached to it.

Stopped in Lethbridge this morning, spotted new XDE40 Xcelsiors in service. Spoke to a driver and was advised that there are five, numbered 170-174 with another five to be delivered later this year.

Rode 174, this was not only the first Xcelsior I rode but also the first one I ever saw! Also spotted 170 and 173.

Did take some photos which I will post later.

Also stopped by the garage, looks like Classics, 129, and 130 are retired while 128 was parked out back but looked like it was ready to go.

Also as I headed towards Cranbrook spotted ex 106 between Sparwood and Fernie.

Great shots of the XDE40! They look pretty sharp in the LA paint scheme. Interesting location for the side destination sign. I guess the Novas were a one time only order.

The side sign location is interesting, but LA Transit have been doing this since early 2000s series IIRC.

That how people can look down, not up when standing close!
More and more transit system are sticking to LF because of economical issues! Where as HF, it will be a rare to see in much future times!

As of April 2009, I have finally rode Nova Classic T-drive, two types of different engine! Which ones is better? Series 50 all the way man!

2011 Charter: Able to manage to attend as there are some good ones to go for!

Looks like Lethbridge is getting clean diesels, instead of Allison hybrids, for its 5 buses (XD40?) to be delivered in 2013.
http://www.lethbridg...top-121012.html

Transit manager Audra McKinley says five new buses are required next year, to replace the fleet's five oldest. They include the city's last three General Motors-designed "Classics," high-floor models generally used only on high school runs.
The city also added five smaller diesel-electric buses this year for Access-a-Ride service

Are the GM's still operable, or straight to scrap?
In a fleet ranging from 1990 D40s, to 1994 D40LFs, to 1996 D30LFs, to 2002 D40is, to 2012 D40LFRs with electric buses and artics coming! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Well someone got it wrong that they have 3 GM Classics left. They only ever had two GM Classics unless one of the Fishbowls went back into service. I remembering being told that one could return to service if needed.
