Charlottetown transit: Does anyone know if the orange Classic is still around?
And from what I've been told they have about 8 buses that are trolley replicas.

I will be visiting Friday and will report back with what I find out.

Charlottetown Transit has 3 Classics

1 1986 GM TC40-102N This bus has numbers underneath the black paint, the # is 28603. And the serial # is 63500282
2 1991 MCI's

And they have about 10 trolley replicas, with at least one being a 35ft

Isn't that the bus that was leased to Guelph a while back...? Does it have a strange looking destination sign cut out? Kind of like an Oval.

It has the regular alloted space for a destination sign.
It is just covered by a sign that reads "GO GREEN"

My bad, I'm thinking of the other one.

That would be it!
Now it has a green front for OK Tire, and there is a yellow and green stripe down the side.

I don't recall seeing Classics or Orions when I was last there in 2007. But I did manage to capture a few shots of the trolley replicas:

Looks as if these "trolleys" crashed through Grandma's teahouse... :D I have to admit, they are very colourful.

Cheers,
Rob

I just passed through Charlottetown a few days ago, but only managed to get a couple of photos, albeit not very good ones. Are all the buses made up to look like trollies and boats, or is this a special bus?

Most are trolley replicas, then there are a few Classics.
And the boat that drives on land is a tour boat.

Nice to see that one '89 MCI Classic from Laval has survived. Great pictures, by the way. Thanks for sharing, Nick :P!

That GM originally came from Groupe Gaudreault as #29008.

5862 is originally Groupe Gaudreault #28603, here are some pics:

Whoa, did I see ex-Codiac 303 in one of those pics? Trius/Atlantic Gateway Coachlines had at least one Codiac Classic sitting in their Moncton yard last year. Maybe it was 303 and they managed to drive it to PEI.

Both 302 and 303 are there, 302 is definetly retired while 303 could see revenue service again. I will talk to my contact at Trius and get a straight answer.

Thanks for the info. I'd love to see pics of 302 and 303 if you can post some.
