D. DeLarge
I rode on a 2200 series the other day, and even though the driver had it to start on 2, it jerked like crazy when stating up. Is that normal? Or he doesnt know how to modulate the pedal? They seem to take longer to get up to speed, costing time in the schedule. Most of the ones I've been on are relatively smooth starting and going through the gears, but there's always an odd one that's a bit more jerky. Enzo Aquarius
Those buses have a different transmission (10 speed ZF) which take a tad longer to get to speed. The driver can have the pedal to the floor, but it'll still take awhile to get to the speed they want.

It may be because the driver lifts his or her foot off of the gas when the bus shifts, confusing the computer. Dan
38 Creditview
I can check the quote, but I'm pretty sure G. McNeil told me (about two weeks ago) that GO, the province and CPR were all positive about four-tracking Milton. It surprised me, but ...Ed Any more news on this? smallspy
I don't know if anyone's seen one in service yet, but 2362 was at York University this afternoon/evening. I wasn't able to catch what route, unfortunately. Dan
Enzo Aquarius
I saw 2361 at Newmarket the other day, not in service departing Newmarket Terminal probably heading to the garage.
D. DeLarge
Beat both of you...2364 at Bramalea GO garage. What does this series go to anyway? I seem to have lost track amid all the small orders/deliveries.

PrevostH3-45
The highest unit number is 2365 if I remember correctly. The highest before the recent order was 2353, with 12 new additions, making 2365. I drove 2355 last week. Wow!!

vivablue5215
GO Route 40 service has started today. 2020 was the first bus on it today.
Enzo Aquarius
Neat idea to add the plane symbol on the destination sign, though odd to see a Suburban on an airport route with the possibility of baggage. Atleast there's still SOME layover area left for YRT/Viva...though only for about 1 vehicle.

Atleast there's still SOME layover area left for YRT/Viva...though only for about 1 vehicle. 558 at one point was laying over behind the GO bus. However, 722, the 4th bus for the 1, which usually arrives at 12 and starts service at 12:30, had to layover at the west side of the terminal, which is more narrow than the east side. EDIT: I just realized this...why are there two different GO transit discussion topics?

Enzo Aquarius
I created this topic to allow for a centralized GO Transit discussion area after seeing many GO topics being created. There was already a topic called 'GO' which is now the present 'GO Transit - 2008 Discussion', then GO Questions formed, along with GO Transit Enviros. Enzo Aquarius
I was monitoring the GO Transit on-time status webpage, and noticed a Lakeshore train was late due to a passenger assist, which was later updated to 'police investigation', causing a train to be cancelled. Anybody got some information on this?

smallspy
Rode on 2363 today. Nice ride. Are they considering any Hybrid versions? The board was considering purchasing 2 hybrid-powered D4500CT's a couple of months ago, but I don't know what the result of that discussion was. Orion V
2365 and another unit (probably 64) were both delivered on Tuesday. 65 has a bike rack along with 2025 at Steeprock. Currently 2365 is the newest unit. Forgot to post this on Tuesday.
UrbanToronto
The next GO service changes start June 28. I have just confirmed that Brampton (and Georgetown) will finally see hourly service to Union at this time, and an increase in service hours on that route (hopefully with a 1:30 Saturday departure). Red Rocket 191
Where should I sit on a train terminating at Aldershot to make sure I make the connection to the Hamilton bus? Heading out to Hamilton tomorrow for Metronauts, and I can't be late.
