How do you know what fare they paid?

Megabus fare is where you show (or recite to) the driver your ticket number which you printed online. Coach Canada fare is simply your regular tickets system.
For those keeping track of the YRT repaints see THIS post.

Easy as they would be print outs from your home computer as the other tickets would be regular tickets you buy from a ticket agent.

Question?

Can the Coach Canada double Deckers fit in the Tooronto Bus Terminal?

I know there are two buildings
Departure which is the main building.
and

the arrivals, which is the former Queenelizbeth Go Bus Terminal.

Can they fit under the roof?

Uh, yes? They've been operating DDs on the Toronto-Montreal corridor since forever.

Even before that when the NYC-Toronto route was moved from the Royal York hotel to the Coach terminal.

I've noticed they have done that with most of the 534xx remaining in Coach Canada livery, my guess is for the Kitchener-Hamilton-Niagara Falls corridor which now has Megabus fares.

Yeah that's correct, despite the fact I still see the 83xxx Prevosts on that corridor still.

(Technical term for that corridor is Hamilton Local, but that's beside the point.)
