Let me know how you like VS ... I've never flown on them as of yet ... still waiting for them to finally start service out of YVR.

Hope you'll like the A340 ... super quiet cabin ... by far one of my favourite modern jetliners to fly on.

From what I can recall offhand...

Boeing 737 - Westjet, KLM
Boeing 747 - Cathay Pacific
Boeing 757 - Harmony Airways
Boeing 767 - Delta Airlines, Air Canada?
Boeing 777 - EVA Air, Singapore Airlines
Airbus A319 - Cebu Pacific, Tiger Airways
Airbus A320 - Cebu Pacific, Canada 3000, Air Canada (really don't remember, definitely an AC from YVR-YUL in 2003)
Airbus A330 - Cathay Pacific, Air Canada, China Eastern
Airbus A340 - China Airlines
ATR-72 - Cebu Pacific
De Havilland Beaver - West Coast Air
De Havilland Twin Otter - Harbour Air
McDonnell Douglas MD-11 - KLM

I've also flown on Air Transat a couple of times, but have absolutely no recollection of the aircraft type. My most recent flight with them was in August of 2000 from Vancouver to Montreal, which was particularly memorable because the flight number was TS911. No way that would happen nowadays! I also remember being on an Air Transat flight from London Gatwick to Toronto in 1992 that suffered a birdstrike on the takeoff roll that forced the pilots to abort and everybody got put up in hotels for the night.

There is a remote chance I may have flown with Canadian at one point or another in the early to mid 1990s. There are definitely a number of flights unaccounted for on this list, not least of which are YYZ to London UK in 1990, as well as several YVR-YYZ and YVR-YUL in 1994, 1996, 1997 and 1999. Most of these were with Canada 3000 but I can't say for sure whether they all were.

Great lists everyone ... nice to see a lot of variety in airlines that we've all flown :)

Looks like Tom1112 and me are the only ones so far that haven't been on a T7 yet  As for me, I'm trying to avoid it, don't know why though

When I was travelling in Asia last summer, when possible I tried to create as much variety of aircraft types (and airlines) as I could. That meant that when selecting my flight from Taipei to Hong Kong (CX), I deliberately chose a flight that would have an A330 as I knew I didn't have that aircraft booked for any of the other flights I was taking. (Even though I then later flew on one with China Eastern which I had not planned to do.) Then, when selecting a flight from Tokyo for my second visit to Taipei, I booked it with EVA Air (because I would be flying with China Airlines back home to YVR) and on a flight that would have a 777-300ER (because I had not yet flown that type; my two flights with Singapore Airlines were both on 777-200s). I suppose if I'd been willing to forgo the CX A330 I could have taken a 777-300 non-ER... :)

I'm the same way  I'll usually try to find a routing to my destination that'll give me a chance to fly one different airlines, aircraft and through different airports ... usually ends up to be cheaper too

Same here.

Latest sampling: EVA Air (YVR-TPE-CGK, HKG-TPE-YVR), Air Asia (KUL-SIN) and Thai (SIN-BKK-HKG). HKG-TPE was actually in a Uni Air MD-90.

Also new sampling: SIN-KUL by coach (bus). Actually I intended to ride the train, but the trains were sold out for the week (end of school year in Singapore).

I think you were probably better off riding the bus anyway. The KTM trains have a tendency to run late much of the time. Although the sleeper cars are pretty decent.

I heard the worst in riding the train is going through Malaysian and Singapore customs. You have to drag your luggage off the train, bring them with you to the customs counter (that can be a long, long walk), stamp your passport, x-ray, then you drag them back to the train (your seat). NO HELP offered. No porter !!!
