The Toronto Transportation Society (TTS) will be operating the following fan trips in 2012:
  • Woodstock Transit # 14 Fan Trip - Saturday, June 2 - The TTS will charter the last remaining GMC new look bus in regular service in Ontario. A five hour trip is planned and the fan trip details should be up on the TTS website within 1-2 weeks.
  • Transportation Weekend - Saturday, September 1 - The TTS will charter Grand River Transit 9200 (D40LF) for a six hour tour of the Kitchener/Waterloo area. This bus was the first low floor bus in the Province of Ontario and is now in it's 20th year of operation. During the fan trip, we may have an optional one way trip aboard the Waterloo Central Railway (Waterloo to St, Jacobs) with the bus meeting us in St. Jacobs.
  • Transportation Weekend - Sunday, September 2 - In keeping with the rail theme of past weekends, the TTS will charter a bus (vehicle to be determined) from Mississauga Transit and use it to visit the Halton County Radial Railway.
  • Christmas Lights Charter - Saturday, December 15 - A tour of the Brampton area will take place. We will charter a vehicle (to be determined) from Brampton Transit for a day/evening charter,
More details on these events will be posted once they are known.

I am definitely interested in the Transportation weekend, and I'll try to work it into my usual Labour Day Toronto trip.

In for Woodstock.

If you can confirm the Waterloo Central Railway portion for the GRT charter I'm possibly in (I ride the 92xx almost everyday for free so...). Otherwise I'm in for the Mississauga portion.
For those keeping track of the YRT repaints see THIS post.

very interested in Woodstock and GRT charter!!

For X'mas light charter, would TTS consider 8500 to be the chartered vehicle? I haven't been riding that bus since 2004 during the TTS charter on it............

That bus has send back to England, so it's long gone for a while!
More and more transit system are sticking to LF because of economical issues! Where as HF, it will be a rare to see in much future times!

As of April 2009, I have finally rode Nova Classic T-drive, two types of different engine! Which ones is better? Series 50 all the way man!

2011 Charter: Able to manage to attend as there are some good ones to go for!

As far as I know, it's been sitting at the back of the garage away from prying eyes.

I'll have to ask one of my "contacts" tomorrow...

Just heard from someone, so it's better you ask someone for confirmed.

Is there a flyer for the Woodstock charter? I checked the website and it's not up.
