Orion V
Anyone know the fleet roster for the chinese tour company Safeway Tours? I know they have a bunch of J4500s in colour liveries and last week I saw an H3-45 in the white Safeway livery. I remember they had some D4500s or could be 102DL3s too, are they gone now? I know I rode 83802 when the H3-45's were more prevalent and before the introduction of the J4500's. With the recent deliveries of newer J4500's, it is possible the older H3-45's are being reallocated to other services whether it be other charters or line haul service. aemoreira81
Who owns those buses, however...Stagecoach or Safeway? I ask because they still have the Canadian C on them.
2044
Who owns those buses, however...Stagecoach or Safeway? I ask because they still have the Canadian C on them. Coach Canada (part of Stagecoach) owns the buses. Safeway has a deal with them to use specific buses.
TTCVIAFan25
Anyone know the fleet roster for the chinese tour company Safeway Tours? Tell you the truth, right now what they have is a bunch of AS Tronic equipped, non-EPA10 J4500s (which I hate because of the lack of an Allison B500). I think Coach Canada is adding some D13+B500R H3-45s to the Safeway fleet, and also Great Canadian Coaches has some D13/B500 H3-45s in Safeway livery. Matt
I think Great Canadian has quite a few of these new Prevost units. I've seen 1000, along with 1001 and 1005 recently too.

Megabus Rider
It's confirmed that Safeway has services from Pacific Western Transportation and GTA Crew Services in addition to Coach Canada and Great Canadian. I am hearing that Safeway is making money from the Passengers who do not play at the Casino but instead tour the Falls. They need some competition like how DSL competes with Tai Pan for Casino Rama. Megabus Rider
Safeway Tours, Canada has been doing sightseeing tours in NYC only. I figured so, they don't do pick ups/drop offs in NYC just bring people from Toronto sightsee and go back.

Megabus Rider
I found out the real reason why Safeway had to get Great Canadian, Pacific Western and GTA Crew. It's to do with Coach Canada's Union. The Coach Canada drivers got their Union to implement an agreement where the drivers would not have to do Double Runs to Fallsview Casino citing many reasons. Safeway in turn had to get Great Canadian, Pacific Western and GTA Crew to do the Double Runs. Coach Canada now only does Single Runs to Fallsview. As well, Coach Canada only pays flat rate for their runs. It's my understanding that the others pay hourly and therefore the Double Runs would look attractive to their drivers. leylandvictory2
I saw a white prevost h3-45 with safeway wrap. I guess it belongs to GTA Crew.

Dont drivers work on a 12 hour shift? I guess it would not be attractive to do double runs if you get paid the same as a single run.
Megabus Rider
Dont drivers work on a 12 hour shift? I guess it would not be attractive to do double runs if you get paid the same as a single run. I am not too familiar with their way of doing the runs/schedules but more than likely a single run would be up to 10 hours. Double runs does not pay the same as single. Example: a Single pays $180 and Double pays $230 difference of $50 in which case most drivers would not do the Double as they hope it would pay $180x2. Basically it's not worth it for the flat pay and the drivers rather just lay over for 5 hours than do a Double. This is the same senario being played out at AZ Bus.
