It is people's posts like the one you made that make this place look bad and unenjoyable. If you want to act like a prick here, please by all means leave. :) We don't need this garbage from you.

yeah that's it.. ;) some of you guys on here make me laugh, that's why maybe I ask dumb questions cause you all get so worked up and go over the top anytime someone AKA *Me* asks a question you all think they or I should already have an answer for or find on there own..
If that's the logic behind your questions, expect very little help from anyone on here in the future.

Your reputation is starting to precede you.

OK this has got to stop!!

First of all, Matt is NOT being a baby! He's got a point. You have been engaging in a bit of a flame war, not just with Matt but with Kevin. Now we all know your other account was banned for, oh right! TROLLING!!! This should be a discussion about Peterborough Transit, not the site of the latest flame war.

We on the board deserve respect, respect that's hard-earned from many years of fanning, operating and working in the industry. There's a simple solution. You can't give that to us, There's the door.

Now can we just talk about Peterborough Transit again, PLEASE!?

NO! The screen at the front of the bus is for decoration only. Honestly, think before posting.

After your charade of asking questions just for the purpose of pissing us off, do you think we should honestly trust you that you are asking this question genuinely?

Can't say I've seen any buses where it's not working (unless the driver's forgotten to activate it).

Does the system work on GPS?

Was wonder after being on the Chemong yesteday which isn't going along Hilliard and Towerhill due to road works and the system went quite for a while but then picked up some stops inc Walmart depsite approaching fron the opposite direction to normal.

I don't know if the company and transit have worked together to keep it working, and that product what Peterborough is using is not the only system, others are inadequate as well.
More and more transit system are sticking to LF because of economical issues! Where as HF, it will be a rare to see in much future times!

As of April 2009, I have finally rode Nova Classic T-drive, two types of different engine! Which ones is better? Series 50 all the way man!

2011 Charter: Able to manage to attend as there are some good ones to go for!

Umm I wasn't saying it was inadequate, I was commenting on the fact that a chunk of a bus route was taken out due to roadworks (And give it's only a temporary change, not worth cost of reprograming the system) that it picked up some stops.

personally I think the system is pretty good and seems to work quite well on the routes I travel the most (Chemong, SSFC, Highland) and can't think of why it would work as well for the other routes.

Did anyone get to the transit review open house last Thursday?

I wasn't able to go due to work commitments but my wife did. Having read the newletter they put out I can see some good ideas in there.

As to the man who's picture was in the Examiner article on Friday, the comment from my wife was that first he ranted at the head of the Acessible Transit Committee who there simply to find out what was going on, then at the head of the Driver's Union before going off at the guy from Dillon Consulting and not once did he have say anything positive about any of the reivew'd recommendation.

From the guy's reaction and the letter in Saturday's people I think some people forget it's there to provide the best possible service to as many people as possible and some times that's gonna mean a few people will have some inconveience so a lot more people can get access to transit it's gonna happen

The draft of the fianl report on Transit is up on the city website.

http://www.peterboro...inal+Report.pdf

Goes to the Committee of the Whole Monday night.

It's a big read - 150 pages!!

In the intro section is mentions that Major Bennet be turned in an employment bus for peak hours (which could impact Americredit and Global Telesales). I'm just wonder if perhaps it should be pushed more the fact it goes to Costco (which I have used it for a number of times) plus it providers an alternative to the Lansdowne and Monaghan buses for getting to Lansdowne place.

I got word from the nice folks at the Peterborough Transit garage,,,that 5 (unofifcially) retired classics including #14 will be back in service on Peterborough streets in September for Trent and school runs. Also, our only Orion V bus # 04, is being repaired and will also be back on the road starting September 2012 for High School runs for Thomas A Stewart S.S. So Peterborough might be the place to visit to see 04 and other classics running this fall
