![]() QUOTE Luxembourg's bus operator Sales-Lentz has announced the purchase of 6 brand new 7700 hybrid Volvo buses. This is the first firm purchase order of the recently-released model and means the first unit will hit the streets by the end of 2009, with the remaining five coming in 2010. The contract was signed in front of the Luxembourger Minister of Environmental Affairs, who considers the widespread use of hybrid buses a key step to curbing the small country's carbon emissions as well as reducing noise pollution from buses leaving their stops. Interesting, a country that small runs buses! The entire country is basically half the size of Waterloo Region, no need for big buses. -------------------- |

what a load of utter rubbish, you are showing your ignorance of the political importance of Luxemburg in Europe. I actually misread general682002's post, I thought it said "A country that runs small buses". I wasn't meaning to be ignorant or racist or anything. -------------------- |

well people do live there and they need to travel around! Population is what, half of million? It seems to be they may be running at least just over 200 buses then. -------------------- More and more transit system are sticking to LF because of economical issues! Where as HF, it will be a rare to see in much future times!
