GO Transit 2450-2470
GO Transit 2450-2470 are MCI D4500CT acquired in spring 2011 and placed into service in June 2011. This series of buses was purchased to replace 2018, 2020-2021, 2023, 2025, 2027-2029 and 2100-2109. All models are 45 feet in length, initially with seating for 57 individuals. This batch also saw the return of footrests on the seats. All D4500CTs of this series are equipped with wheelchair lifts and have two wheelchair positions through seat adjustment. Unlike the previous buses in the fleet, the seats located in the wheelchair positions have wheelchair symbols stitched into the seat. Select seats also have a 110 volt power outlet located at the baseboard.
For GO, these are their first buses with the updated cooling system. The rear fleet number was relocated lower, next to the GO logo, due to the presence of extra vents on the rear of the coaches. These coaches are also EPA2007-compliant as GO took advantage of a surplus of Detroit Diesel Series 60 engines. The time between this order and the last one is also the longest time between coach orders for GO in over a decade, being over 14 months.
Beginning in 2017 the buses in this series were refurbished and repainted into the new two-tone scheme. This was done as part of a two-year refurbishment contract.
