The Alexander Dennis Enviro500H is a low floor diesel-electric hybrid double deck bus. It is the first double deck hybrid bus in North America and made it's debut at the 2008 APTA Expo. The first bus was built for Victoria Regional Transit System (BC Transit).

The 12.8-metre bus used Allison's parallel hybrid system. The batteries used to store electricity were located immediately after the rear wheels and took up some of the space from the passenger area. The bus remained a one-off and still operates with BC Transit.

In 2014, the three major bus operators in Hong Kong took delivery of Enviro500H buses. Unlike the North American bus, these buses were built on the new chassis that was introduced in 2012 for the Asia Pacific market. The series hybrid drivetrain is offset to the left of the rear.
