Route Details
This route was cancelled with the introduction of the Canada Line in September of 2009.
The express route provided two-way peak period service for all 98 B-Line stations. With the beginning of construction for the Canada Line, the route took to using Granville Street Bridge instead of Cambie Bridge to access Downtown. Service moved along Broadway between Granville and Oak Streets from the original Broadway between Oak and Cambie Streets. The route provided service to Stadium Station in Downtown Vancouver via Beatty Street.
Running inconjunction with 488 Garden City/Burrard Station , the two routes provided 10-15 minute service frequencies from Three Road at Granville in Richmond to Downtown Vancouver during peak times.
The route departed Chatham at 2nd Avenue eastbound to take One Road, Moncton Street, Two Road northbound, Blundell Road, Three Road, Cook, Garden City Road and then Sea Island Way onto the Oak Street Bridge. Exiting off the Oak Street Bridge the route would continue north along Oak Street taking Broadway westbound, Granville Street and the Granville Bridge into Downtown Vancouver. Once off Granville Bridge the route would take Seymour, Nelson Street and then Beatty Street to its terminus on Beatty at Robson.
Southbound trips would depart Beatty at Robson travelling northbound along Beatty to Pender, Burrard Street, Nelson Street to Howe and the Granville Street Bridge. Exiting Granville Bridge, the route took Fir Street to get onto Broadway to Oak Street.
