Cummins C8.3

The Cummins C8.3 is an inline, six cylinder, 8.3 litre diesel engine. It was introduced in 1985. Like the Cummins B Series, the C8.3 was co-designed with the Case Corporation for the agricultural market. The C8.3 would later be used in on-highway applications such as school buses and transit buses.
An electronic version of the C8.3, known as the C8.3E, was introduced in 1996. Cummins updated the engine with new accessories and electronics in 1998 under their Interact System, and the engine was renamed the ISC.
