The New Flyer Industries D60LF was the first low floor articulated bus on the market. These buses are typically used on high-capacity routes and feature an articulation joint in the middle.
The first D60LF, serial 16124, was produced in 1995 as a demonstrator unit, and was later sold to Strathcona County Transit of Sherwood Park, AB, as unit 950.
After the 2009 model year, New Flyer no longer offers the LF series of buses with the traditional style front and rear ends. In November 2009, New Flyer updated their website and removed the LF models from their lineup. The D60LF has been replaced by the D60LFR.
