The North American Bus Industries 60-BRT is a 60 foot low floor articulated transit bus designed for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service. The first production 60-BRT was delivered to the Los Angeles in 2005. After NABI was acquired by New Flyer, the 60-BRT, along with NABI's other products, were discontinued by 2015.
The 60-BRT uses a welded steel structure that is phosphate coated to protect from corrosion. Wheel housings, stairwells, main electrical compartment and battery compartment are stainless steel. Body panels are either aluminium or fibreglass. The bus features a wide plug-type door at the front and is available with up to two wide or narrow rear doors. Flush mounted windows are an option. The 60-BRT is available with conventional diesel, diesel-electric hybrid, and natural gas drivetrains.
