Route Details
This route is a premium express route, so an extra fare is required. The extra premium fare applies to all trips northbound and southbound. This route provides express service to Downtown from Underhill Drive and Wynford Drive. At its south end, it makes a counter-clockwise loop via Richmond Street, Peter Street and Adelaide Street. There is one southern terminal, which is downtown. Northern terminals include Underhill Drive for 144 and 144A, and Wynford Drive for 144B. This route only operates during rush hours on weekdays. Branches 144A and 144B only operate during the AM rush, while 144 only operates during the PM rush.
On this route, southbound buses from Underhill Drive serve all stops before entering the Don Valley Parkway, and then stop only downtown at all stops on Richmond Street and Adelaide Street. Buses from Wynford Drive serve all stops to Don Mills Road and Overlea Boulevard, and then stop only downtown at all stops on Richmond Street and Adelaide Street. Northbound buses serve all stops downtown on Richmond Street and Adelaide Street, and then serve all stops at and north of Don Mills Road and Gateway Boulevard/Overlea Boulevard. [1]
