York Region Transit 001-014 are 40' Orion 05.501 built in 1999-2000, and acquired by YRT in 2003. They were originally GO Transit 1150-1163, and were bought in August 2003 with the transfer of the Bayview and Yonge 'C' services to YRT. They were renumbered into the standard YRT numbering, with a 0 for its year of make (2000). They are the only buses in the YRT fleet to be numbered with a 0 first, as YRT uses only the last digit for buses built after 1999; most other systems use 2 digits even for post-1999 buses.

These buses previously had "Moving York" slogan under the side advertisements. The slogans have since been removed.

When these vehicles were first introduced to YRT, they were mainly restricted to 91 Bayview and 99 Yonge 'C'. Today, 001-010 are normally found on 4/4A Major Mackenzie, 5 Clark, 7 Martin Grove, 10 York University-Woodbridge, 12 Pine Valley, 13 Islington, 20 Jane-Concord, 23 Thornhill Woods, 28 Zenway-Highway 27 and school specials during weekdays. 011-014 are normally found on 81 Inspiration, 82 Valleymede-Spadina, 83/83A Trench, 86 Newkirk-Red Maple, 87 Langstaff-Maple and school specials during weekday rush hours only.
