404 Town Centre is a YRT hub located in Newmarket, ON. It is located inside 404 Town Centre, at the intersection of Leslie St. and Davis Dr.
There are no passenger amenities at this hub other than a regular bus shelter. However, there are numerous fast-food restaurants and convenience stores nearby, allowing passengers to stop for an extended period of time. Around 2001, the pavement on the road at the shelter area started degrading badly due to extensive use and water damage. This was rectified shortly later on. The pavement currently is about 6" below the curb height, which is very convenient, as it allows level boarding for wheelchairs.
Although 404 Town Centre is not an official terminal, it is the terminus for many routes in the Newmarket area, and has a large passenger flow in comparison to most of the area.
History
Newmarket Transit originally served the plaza stop, using it as the eastern terminus for many routes. It still provides the same function today, with more bus routes (and service) passing through.
GO Transit used to also serve the vicinity via route 69, however that was converted to a YRT route in September 2012.
Routes
The following routes serve the shelter inside the plaza:
