Air New Zealand's 787-9 fleet are Boeing 787-9s with delivery in 2014-2024.
History
A prior order for 4 Boeing 787-8 in 2007 was converted to the 787-9 to bring the order total to 10.[1]
In February 2013, 2 options were firmed and, on December 8, 2014, an additional 2 aircraft were added to the 787-9 order.[2]
A further 2 aircraft were ordered alongside a new Boeing 787-10 order in 2019.[3]
Air New Zealand was the launch customer for the Boeing 787-9.
