Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District 2500-2578 were 1988 model New Flyer D40-88 buses built in 1988-1989. The last day of revenue service for the fleet was December 19, 2003.

  • 48 units were bought by Transit Sales International/Shuttle Bus Leasing.
    • At least 25 units were sold to U.S. Army Fort McCoy in Wisconsin as shuttles. 24 units were found in a junk yard in Wisconsin in 2021.[2] Many units are noted below.
    • 7 remaining units were listed on the website for sale in spring 2006.[3]
