Northbound:

• Located on Bathurst Street just south of Atkinson Ave., the station consists of a fare machine with no shelter. Its stop number is 9721.

Southbound:

• Located on Bathurst Street just south of New Westminster Dr., the station consists of a fare machine and a regular shelter. Its stop number is 9722.

History

Atkinson opened on September 4, 2005 as part of Viva phase 1, originally serving Viva Purple. Viva Orange began serving the station on December 17, 2017, while Viva Purple service ended on September 2, 2018.

As part of construction of the Bathurst and Centre Rapidways, the northbound stop was moved south in late 2017. It returned to the southeast corner of Bathurst Street and Atkinson Avenue in late 2018, although the shelter remained at the former location. The southbound stop had its shelter moved south to accommodate construction, but the bus stop and fare machine have remained in their original locations.
