BC Transit 6209-6271 were GMDD T6H-4523N "New Look" buses built in 1976.

This large order was placed by the B.C. Ministry of Municipal Affairs, Bureau of Transit Services for use in Greater Vancouver, the Capital Region, and many smaller systems across the province. BC Hydro assumed ownership of buses used in the Vancouver and Victoria systems, while Small Communities buses remained under BTS ownership. In 1980, ownership of BC Hydro buses was transferred the Urban Transit Authority, renamed BC Transit in 1982
