The BEA Transit Solutions Farebox is an electronically-registering farebox. It allows payment by coins or by smart card. The farebox features a passenger display unit, placed just above the smart card reader. This shows the passenger information based on the method of fare payment they used, such as how much money was placed inside the farebox (and how much money they still owe). There is also a display screen for the driver. This allows drivers to print transfers. Transfers are printed from a thermal paper printer located on the upper right side of the farebox.

The BEA farebox only allows input of one coin at a time. Coins not accepted are returned through a rejected coin return slot.

Unlike most other fareboxes, the BEA farebox has the ability to scan transfers. The scanner is located under the smart card reader.
