The BYD Auto C8 (Chinese model: CK6100LLEV) is a 35-foot (10.6-metre), battery-electric motorcoach. It was launched in September 2015 along with the C6 in Guangzhou, China.[1] In 2017, a demonstrator C8 was trialed with Westcoast Sightseeing. It was in anticipation of a large order placed by the tour operator.[2]
The C8 can travel approximately 250 kilometres on a single charge. The coach uses BYD's lithium iron phosphate batteries and can be fully recharged in four to five hours.
