The BYD Auto C9M is a battery-electric motorcoach available in Canada and the United States. Like the C9 sold overseas, it is nominally 40 feet long. However, it is wider at 102 inches. The C9M also features a tag axle and has a different body design that closer resembles BYD's other North American buses.
As initially advertised, the C9M had a range of 200 miles on a single charge and could fully recharged in four-and-a-half to five hours.[1] By 2021, the C9M had an advertised range of 186 miles and could be charged in five-and-a-half to six hours with AC charging or three to three-and-a-half hours with DC charging.
