Brampton Transit 9846-9864

Brampton Transit 9846-9864 were Orion 06.501 buses built in 1998 and delivered in January and February of 1998. They are Brampton's second order for Orion VI's after purchasing 5 (9641-9645) in 1996.

All units had pairs of small televisions installed for an "IT-TV" advertising program. The program was discontinued but most buses retained the TV's. All were removed by the end of 2005, a few years after.

All units have push bar-operated rear doors. 9864 was fitted with a sensor-activated door system and different door handrails for a while. It was eventually fitted back to its original push bars.

In 2008/2009, all these buses were refurbished and repainted into the newer livery.

Some units were retired March 2013 along with the 5 Orion VI buses purchased in 1996. Over time, more units were retired as more new buses arrive.

9849, 9850, 9854, 9860, 9861, and 9862 was retired in August 2015 when the 2015 Nova LFS buses started arriving.
