The California State University, East Bay (CSUEB) University Shuttle is the shuttle service for CSU East Bay campuses in Hayward and Concord, CA.

History

The AC Transit 'Class Pass' program was tested at Cal State East Bay, which also included increased service to "the hill." However, CSUEB students and administration were not willing to continue the program (contrary to UC Berkeley), and service was reduced to current levels.

As an alternative, the fare-free shuttle runs multiple routes to the Hayward and Concord Campuses.

The shuttle service is financed through parking citations and from a clean air transportation fund from the Alameda County Transportation Commission and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District.

It was operated by Transmetro from at least 2012 to 2020. It is currently operated by SP+ Parking & Transportation.

California State University, East Bay was formerly known as California State University, Hayward.

AC Transit Service

AC Transit has provided service to Cal State East Bay since the 1970s, if not earlier, outdating the campus shuttle service. Fares are charged.
