Cardinal Coach Lines 2528-2529, 2539-2543
Cardinal Coach Lines 2528-2529, 2539-2543 were 2005 model Thomas FS-65 buses built in 2004. They featured tall tinted windows and an interior speaker/PA system.
All units, with the exception of 2529, were originally delivered to the Vancouver operations. From here, they were dispersed among various branches in the province, with most units finding their home in Courtenay, British Columbia. One of the units; 2543; had the unique feature of being equipped with a front wheelchair lift. 2543 was transferred to the Calgary branch in 2013, and was the only British Columbia-based unit from this series to be transferred out of province.
2529 was originally delivered to the Calgary branch, and would enter service in white/black colors. In addition, the unit had some unique features not present on other units from the series, such as interior overhead luggage racks, high-backed seats with arm rests, and an internal security camera system. The unit was used exclusively on the company's Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School routes until 2015, at which point it was repainted back into school bus yellow and had its seating converted to the standard bench style. The unit would subsequently be transferred to the Grande Prairie branch in 2019, where it spent the remainder of its service life until retirement in July 2023.
