Cardinal Coach Lines 3229 was a 2000 model Thomas Saf-T-Liner EF bus featuring short untinted windows, an exterior light monitor above the driver's seat, and an interior speaker/PA system.

The unit began its life at the Thomas Built Buses factory in High Point, North Carolina before being delivered to a First Student branch in St. Louis, Missouri in late 1999 or early 2000. The unit was purchased by Cardinal Coach Lines in the Summer of 2006, and subsequently entered regular school service in September. In late 2016, the unit had many of its passenger windows replaced by black-framed windows salvaged from 2837, which was retired a couple of years prior in 2014. The unit was retired from service in July 2017.

3229 had at least two sister units; G1149 and N1165; both of which were based in Saskatoon, although G1149 would join 3229 in Calgary in February 2014.
