Chicago Transit Authority 6550-6708 were 2001 Nova Bus LFS buses.
These buses are part of a single contract with Nova Bus awarded in 1998.
Following a fire on 6860 on March 1st, 2021, all buses in this series that remained active at the time were quickly retired. By summer 2021 though, select units from this series briefly returned to service.
