Coach America was based in Dallas, Texas but had nationwide operations. It was formed in 2003 with the selling of South Central and West divisions of Coach USA's operations to Kohlberg & Co., LLC.

- Coach America purchased American Coach Lines from Lincolnshire Management in 2006.
- Acquired Lakefront Lines in 2008.
- Went bankrupt in early 2012 and ceased operations in mid-2012.
