Coast Cities was a Neptune, New Jersey based transit and charter bus company. It was founded in 1922 by members of the Gallagher family, which continued to run the company until the 1970's, when it sold its transit routes to Monmouth Bus Lines and its school bus operation to Laidlaw Transit. The Gallagher family then founded Student Transportation, Inc., a school bus service with many locations in the United States and Canada.
The name Coast Cities continues to exist as an otherwise unaffiliated heavy truck sales/service facility in Neptune, not far from the original Coast Cities bus garage, which is now the property of First Student.
