This is a north-south circular route connecting Metrotown Station in Burnaby and the River District in Vancouver. Service runs daily every 30 minutes. During peak hours, service runs every 15 minutes. On weekends/holidays, service runs every 20–30 minutes.
Trips depart Metrotown Station heading west on Central Boulevard, south on Willingdon Avenue becoming Willingdon Extension, west on Imperial Street, south on Boundary Road, west on Arbor Street, south on Matheson Crescent, west on SE Marine Drive, east on Marine Way, and south on Sawmill Crescent to the terminus at Sawmill Crescent & River District Crossing. Continuing from the River District, trips depart from the River District terminus heading west on Sawmill Crescent, west on Marine Way, east on SE Marine Drive, north on Matheson Crescent, east on Arbor Street, north on Boundary Road, east on Imperial Street, north on Willingdon Extension becoming Willingdon Avenue, and east on Central Boulevard to Metrotown Station.
April 2020 - Service introduced to provide a direct connection between the River District development with Metrotown and the Expo Line[1]
January 2022 - Service frequency adjusted from every 35 minutes to every 30 minutes
April 2023 - Peak hour service and midday Saturday service increased from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes. River District terminus moved from EB Sawmill Crescent & FS River District Crossing to SB River District Crossing NS Sawmill Crescent, with the routing revised to continue on Marine Way, south on River District Crossing, east on Sawmill Crescent, west on Marine Way to Metrotown Station instead of east on Marine Way, south on Sawmill Crescent, and west on Marine Way to Metrotown Station
January 2025 - Service proposed to be combined with the 146 as part of a long-term proposal.[2] Service would continue to run between Metrotown Station and the River District, with northbound trips going via Joffre Avenue and Rumble Street and southbound service via Patterson Avenue and Marine Drive
February 3, 2025 - Routing in the River District revised back to its original clockwise routing following the completion of construction work along Sawmill Crescent. Terminus moved from EB Sawmill Crescent FS River District Crossing back to its original spot at WB Sawmill Crescent FS River District Crossing
April 2025 - Introduction of two additional northbound trips during AM peak hours to address overcrowding
May 22, 2025 - Introduction of an additional weekday afternoon tripper with seven roundtrips to address overcrowding
September 2025 - Peak hour service increased from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes. Saturday evening service between 1700–1800 increased from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes. Sunday/holiday afternoon service increased from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes
