History

Dufferin opened on September 4, 2005 as part of Viva phase 1. It was originally served by Viva Purple. Viva Orange began serving the station on December 17, 2017, while Viva Purple service ended on September 2, 2018.

Due to construction on the Centre Street Rapidway, the westbound stop was moved further west of the intersection in 2018. The eastbound machine and shelter remain in their original position, although the bus stop location has been moved further east.
