Durham Region Transit 7104-7117

Durham Region Transit 7104-7117 are Nova Bus LFS buses built in 2021 for expansion of the DRT Pulse Bus Rapid Transit fleet and replacement of the Durham Region Transit conventional fleet.

They were purchased through the Metrolinx Transit Procurement Initiative using money granted to Durham Region Transit by the Investing in Canadian Infrastructure Program (ICIP). These busses were funded by the Federal, Provincial and Municipal governments.

These new buses have the same green and orange livery as the rest of the DRT Pulse fleet and resemble the 2018 PULSE Branded Nova Bus LFS buses 7100-7103.

Internally, these units closely resemble 7100-7103 but now feature a permanent Driver Shield, no seat behind the operator, and longitudinal seating in the raised rear portion of the bus. in addition, there are USB ports located under most seats. This is the first order of Durham Region Transit Nova Buses to feature longitudinal seating, and as with all Nova orders since 2016, there is no rear window.

Delivery of these vehicles started in Early 2021. They entered service beginning on December 2nd, 2021, along with the articulated buses 9106-9107
