Durham Region Transit 8066

Durham Region Transit 8066 was a Orion 05.502 bus acquired secondhand by DRT in 2006. 8066 was originally built for Lynx in 1994. The purchase of 8066 can be traced to a tender issued in May 2006 for eight second hand buses no older than 16 years. By July 2006, DRT negotiated with Capital Bus Parts for the purchase of 8066 and was in negotiations with another supplier for the remaining seven buses.

This bus features touch bar operated rear door and a Sutrak rear mounted HVAC. 8066 originally had the light grey and green stripe livery.
