Rapidway Stops

Northbound:

• Located on Yonge Street north of Eagle Street on the Yonge Street Rapidway. Its stop number is 9808.

Southbound:

• Located on Yonge Street south of Eagle Street on the Yonge Street Rapidway. Its stop number is 9818.

Inactive Stops

Southbound:

• Located on Yonge Street just north of Eagle Street, the station consists of a full-sized shelter. Its stop number was 9808. Cameras are installed in the shelter. The stop was converted to regular YRT service only on January 5, 2019, with stop number redesignated 7303.

Westbound:

• Located on Eagle Street just west of Yonge Street, the station consists of a regular shelter with no machine. Its stop number was 9818. Only drop-offs were allowed here by Viva buses; passengers heading to the next station (Newmarket Terminal) were required to use local buses instead.

History

Eagle opened on November 20, 2005 as part of Viva phase 3. It has only ever served Viva Blue.

During late April 2009, construction in the vicinity of the southbound stop required its closure. Viva buses instead used Eagle Street in both directions, with southbound buses stopping at a regular YRT stop on the southeast corner. The southbound shelter was still open and available to purchase fares from.

On January 5, 2020, rapidway service at the Eagle VIVAstation began. All VIVA service in the area was moved to the Yonge Street rapidway stations as VIVA Blue service switched to service between Eagle and Davis along Yonge instead of diverting through Eagle to the Terminal.
