Ebus22 Electric Bus
The Ebus22 Electric Bus was introduced in 1998 as the company's first product. The 22-seat electric bus is fully low floor. It is equipped with a 130 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery and can travel up to 125 miles after being charged over night. An option for fast charging with a range of 45 miles between charges is also available. The Ebus22 may also be powered by a hybrid-electric drivetrain. Unveiled in March 2000, this configuration makes use of a Capston natural gas or propane fueled micro turbine. By 2009, a fuel cell supplied by Ballard could be specified to generate electricity in the hybrid configuration.
The Ebus22 is additionally available as a trolley replica.
40 foot CompositEbus
Towards the end of 2014, Ebus unveiled their 40' CompositEbus. Rather than a steel body, the bus has a lightweight composite body that is approximately 6,000 pounds lighter. The bus can be powered by a fully-electric or natural gas-electric hybrid drivetrain. A 65 kW natural gas-fueled micro turbine is used. With a low floor and a length of 40 feet, it is geared towards the conventional transit market. Current renders of the bus show a front end with a similar aesthetic to the NABI BRT and ElDorado National E-Z Rider II BRT buses.
GAMMA
GAMMA is a fully integrated fast-charge system for buses. Fast charging en route allows the bus to operate all day, without having to carry a large, heavy or expensive battery. The GAMMA charger has a footprint of 28 by 42 inches.
GAMMA-IP is based on the GAMMA self-contained fast-charge station. It was redesigned for a top down Inverted Pantograph (IP) and complies with OppCharge and SAE J-3105 Overhead Charging Standard.
