Guelph Transit Commission 236

Guelph Transit 236 was a Nova Bus LFS bus. It was purchased second-hand through MTB Transit Solutions in December 2012. This unit was built in 1997 for the Hamilton Street Railway as 9714.

The bus had seating for 35 passengers with spaces for wheelchairs available by folding seats. A new Ricon flip-out wheelchair ramp was installed at a widened front door (52 inches) by MTB Transit Solutions, and the ramp at the rear door was removed. Mechanical components were overhauled and New flooring was installed and the bus was repowered with new a engine and transmission. 236 was also the display bus that MTB had used for the trade shows. It was delivered in the ghost livery and was later done in a modified version of the blue and green livery. It also had Alcoa rims when it went into service. The rims were later replaced with the standard white about 2 months after it had entered service.

This unit was used in peak service only or university express routes, and was rarely seen in regular service.
