Halifax Transit route 21 'Lakeside / Timberlea' services the communities of Timberlea and Lakeside, west of Halifax. The route runs from the Glengarry Gardens subdivision in Timberlea to Lacewood Terminal via St. Margaret's Bay Road, Chain Lake Drive and Lacewood Drive.
A rush hour alternative to the route 21, the route 23 Timberlea / Mumford, was introduced in 2006, as a faster way to get to downtown Halifax - it takes St. Margaret's Bay Road and Chebucto Road.
Alternate rush hour routing
During rush hour, the route is extended into downtown Halifax via Rosedale Avenue, Windsor Street and Gottingen Street terminating on Summer Street at the Halifax Infirmary.
