Halifax Transit route 86 'Basinview' is a rush hour route servicing Bedford from downtown Halifax by way of highway 102. The route 86 has only two inbound AM and two outbound PM trips per day, during rush hour. In addition, the route takes different routing through Fairview in the AM and PM. Despite this, the route is usually quite busy. The route 86 is the only route to travel along the highway 102.

In 2011 the route became one of Halifax Transit's urban express routes, with limited stops in metro Halifax.
