Route History

Route 47 was created in September 2012, and was meant to replace coverage lost by the deleted "Summit" routing from the route 14.[1][2] Summit routing had service hours reduced to 10 PM from midnight service from route 14.

The 47 ran for two years and was deleted in September 2014 due to budget cuts, along with other routes.[3]

The route was restored in June 2015, but service hours were reduced to 7 PM from the first iteration.[4]

March 2018 - Southbound trips terminating at 5th Avenue S & S Jackson Street modified to use 3rd Avenue instead of 1st Avenue

Route 47 was suspended in March 2020 due to COVID, and the Summit routing was not served until September 2024, with the opening of Rapidride G Line, when the 47 was deleted and route 3 was changed to terminate in Downtown and Summit instead of the SPU, with Summit trips having a similar service span to the deleted 47.[5]
