Kingston Transit route 11 is an accessible route operated by Kingston Transit in the city of Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

Route details

Route 11 starts at the Cataraqui Town Centre in Kingston's west end. From there it proceeds south on Gardiners Road. It detours off Gardiners Road briefly to serve the Riocan Centre shopping area via the Riocan Centre's internal roads, and then returns to Gardiners Road until it reaches the Gardiners Centre at Gardiners & Bath.

From the Gardiners Centre it travels west on Bath Road, then north on Tanner Drive into the Meadowbrook neighbourhood along local streets to Armstrong Road, where it travels south back to Bath Road. From there it continues east on Bath Road to the Kingston Centre, its terminus.

The route runs from 6:12am to 11:12am Monday to Saturday, and from 8:15am to 8:15pm on Sundays. It has a 30 minute frequency on Monday-Saturday prior to about 7pm, at which point it drops to 60 minute frequency. It also runs at 60 minute frequency on Sundays.

Route 11's scheduled travel time during peak periods is 30 minutes--12 minutes from the Cataraqui Centre to the Gardiners Centre and 18 minutes from the Gardiners Centre to the Kingston Centre. In off-peak time periods, it's scheduled travel time is still 30 minutes, but with the time from the Gardiners Centre to the Kingston Centre shortened to 15 minutes and 3 minutes of wait time added at the Gardiners Centre.

Route 11 was originally known as route 71. It was renumbered to route 11 in 2013. At the same time, its route was changed to serve more of the Meadowbrook neighbourhood; prior to 2013, it detoured off Bath only between Centennial & Armstrong.

Prior to 2015, the route did not travel directly on Gardiners Road north of Progress Avenue. Instead it travelled from the Gardiners Centre to the Cataraqui Centre via Gardiners Road, Progress Avenue, Taylor Kidd Boulevard, Old Colony Road, Ridley Drive, and Norwest Road. The service on these roads was partially replaced with realignments of route 6 and route 14.

Route 11 is primarily a 40ft route, and uses New Flyer D40LF/D40LFR, New Flyer XD40, and Nova LFS.
