Central Florida Regional Transit Authority or LYNX serves the Orlando area in the state of Florida.

History

The previous service provider was Orlando Transit Company from 1932-1972.

It was formed in May 1972 under the name Orange-Seminole-Osceola Transportation Authority, later changed to Tri-County Transit and changed again in 1994 to LYNX.

    • 247 along with 8 other Phantoms were sold to a private school. 247 was eventually sold to a party bus company. It was listed on Craigslist in St. Cloud, FL on 5/12/2018.[6] It was sold to a private owner for an RV conversion project in August of 2019, but was never completed. It was listed for sale on Letgo in Auburndale, FL on 4/27/2020.[7]
  • 205-208, 210-215, 217, 220-222, 236, 238-239 were retired sometime in 2006 and auctioned on May 31, 2006.
  • 216 and 219 were both training buses.
    • 216 was retired in 2008 from training service and auctioned off in 2008 as a running bus. [8]
    • 219 was the last 1994/1995 Phantom to retire from Lynx. It was auctioned off in 2009.

  • 272 was wrecked early in its career and replaced with a former Gillig demo unit built in the same year.
