The Luminator Horizon is a monochrome 100% LED sign created for use in transit vehicles. It was introduced by Luminator in 2001 as a successor to their Luminator MAX3000 flipdot signs. The Horizon system is available in various configurations to meet the needs of almost any application. Originally introduced with amber LEDs, an option for white LEDs was later introduced.

In 2004, the Gen 4 series of signs were rolled into the Horizon product line, making the Horizon slimmer, lighter, and more modular in design.

In 2011, further changes to the signs were made, such as the front sign's wiring being moved to the back (interior) side and the side signs receiving a different housing.
