Lynwood Breeze provides public transit service for the City of Lynwood, CA.
History
Lynwood Breeze was originally named Lynwood Trolley. Two buses resembling San Francisco's cable cars began operating in August of 1986 as the city's first fixed-route bus system. The City Council voted to award a 1-year contract to Commuter Bus Lines of Lynwood to run the system.[1] Commuter Bus Lines was owned and operated by The Carson Family, which owns Shuttle Bus Leasing/Transit Sales International. In the early 2000's, buses for sale by Transit Sales International were commonly spotted at the Lynwood Trolley yard on Long Beach Boulevard near Imperial Highway.
