Overview

Macatawa Area Express, or MAX, is a fixed-route public transit system serving the communities of Holland, Holland Towmship, and Zeeland, Michigan. MAX has provided fixed-route bus service to these communities since 2000. MAX is currently governed by an independent transportation advisory board comprised of representatives from the areas it serves.

Routes

The MAX system is comprised of eight fixed routes. These routes operate from 6 am to 7 pm weekdays and 8 am to 7 pm on Saturdays. Routes run at an hourly frequency with connections made at a central transfer point.

Reserve-A-Max service, or demand response, is provided in some areas to accommodate riders who are too far from a fixed route.

ADA complementary service is also provided to qualifying passengers.
