Metropolitan Transportation Authority 1659-1858 were 1982 GMC RTS-04 (T8J-204) buses. All the buses were funded by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and thus originally had "PA" as a prefix for their bus number (Ex. 1659 was originally PA1659). The unrebuilt buses retired in 2003, while the rebuilt ones retired in 2005. 1734-1858 had suburban coach seating.
