Metropolitan Transportation Authority 199 was a Grumman Flxible 870 bus built in 1979. This bus originally a demonstrator bus. It was originally numbered, but later acquired due to a Flxible New Look being wrecked. The bus was still under warranty, allowing 100 to be acquired. It was renumbered 199 and featured soft blue seats. The bus was used on express routes. This bus was retired in 1984, when the entire Grumman fleet was pulled from service.
